Our Standards & Goal

Emilia Learning Hub is committed to providing a website accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability, technology, or language proficiency. We design and build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standards.

Implemented Accessibility Features

• Semantic HTML: Proper landmark elements (<header>, <nav>, <main>, <footer>, <article>) and hierarchical heading levels (H1 through H3).
• Keyboard Navigability: Full keyboard accessibility with clear, high-contrast :focus-visible focus rings.
• Skip to Content Link: A dedicated skip link at the top of every page allowing keyboard users to bypass navigation.
• Color Contrast: Minimum 4.5:1 text-to-background contrast ratios adhering to WCAG AA for body text and headers.
• Alternative Text: Descriptive, meaningful alt text on all informational photographs and graphics.
• Accessible Forms: Clear visual labels linked directly to form input elements via for / id attributes and accessible error alerts.
• Reduced Motion Support: CSS queries respecting prefers-reduced-motion: reduce to prevent motion-triggered discomfort.
